Kaala vs Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom – Early reviews

✅ Fact Checked

It is not uncommon to witness the clash of big-budget flicks at the box office on weekends, but this Friday the fight is between the Superstar Rajinikanth’s Kaala and Hollywood film Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. As Hollywood films have risen to a level to compete with Indian films this year, the fight has become interesting. The major factor for this epic battle is the release of both films in multiple languages. While Kaala will release in Tamil, Hindi, and Telugu, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released in English too. So, both the films have a pan-India release, and expectations are already high.

There is also not much difference in screen count as Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom gets released on 2300 screens while Kaala gets released on 2000 screens. But Kaala will overshadow Jurassic World in Tamil Nadu as Superstar has the upper hand in terms of screen count and craze. This is also the first major release in Tamil Nadu after the theatre strike and the expectations are sky-high. As the 2015 version of Jurassic World was a box office sensation in India, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom has better chances in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The Telugu states have been a strong market for Rajinikanth for decades and Kaala could be a blockbuster with a hit talk. Rajinikanth’s comment on the Cauvery issue resulted in the ban of Kaala in Karnataka. Although the Supreme court refused to stall the release of the film, the box office performance of the film depends on the common audience.

Superstar Rajinikanth played the role of a local don in Kaala. The film set in the Dharavi slum in Mumbai is directed by Pa. Ranjith and Produced by Dhanush. The look and style of Rajinikanth and the epic combination of Rajinikanth and Nana Patekar are the highlights of the film. The censor board member of UAE, Umair Sandhu, gave a 4-star rating to Kaala praising the performance of Superstar Rajinikanth. He usually gives higher ratings to all the movies, so his review and rating are not credible. Umair Sandhu highly rated movies like Agnyaathavaasi, Spyder, etc which were disasters at the box office. Nevertheless, he is the first to review the film and his rating satisfied many fans. There are positive reviews for the films from the overseas audience too. As the film is ready to release within a few hours in India, the audience is eagerly waiting for the result. Read Kaala movie review to know more about the film.

Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the fifth installment in the Jurassic Park series and the Third in the Jurassic World trilogy. Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom opened to positive reviews and a 69% fresh rating on the tomato meter on the rotten tomatoes site. The character development and action scenes are criticized by reviewers. Considering the overall positive reviews and reception, this film is expected to have a good run at the Indian box office. As there is not much competition in the coming weeks, Kaala and Jurassic World can smash records at the box office. We have to wait for a few more hours to see the result of these two films.
