Ram Pothineni has scored a blockbuster with iSmart Shankar this year and is currently shooting for an action thriller titled Red. It is an official remake of the acclaimed Tamil thriller, Thadam. Ram will be seen in dual roles for the first time in his career. Nivetha Pethuraj and Malvika Sharma are playing female leads in the film. Sravanthi Ravi Kishore is producing the film and Kishore Tirumala is directing it. The film is scheduled to release in the Summer of next year.
Ram posted a video on Twitter on Christmas day addressing Red’s stunt choreographer, Peter Hein. He tweeted that the love of Peter Hein for him can only be felt but not seen just like the pain he gives him while showing the bruises after an action sequence. Ram said that he has seen the rushes of a fight sequence composed by Peter Hein and his mind was blown away by the visuals. He has very high hopes for his upcoming film, Red.
