Kamal Haasan decided to quit acting and spend all his time on his political career and announced the same in February 2018. However, he teamed up with Shankar for the prestigious project, Indian 2. He announced that it will be his last film. In a recent interview, he expressed his desire to make a sequel to his blockbuster film, Thevar Magan. It was dubbed into Telugu as Kshatriya Putrudu. Although his fans are overwhelmed by the decision, critics censured Kamal Haasan for not standing by his words.
Kamal Haasan seems to have reconciled his decision and again announced that Indian 2 will be his last film. In a recent interview with a leading daily, he said, “Makkal Needhi Maiam will field candidates in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections from Tamil Nadu. I will quit acting after the upcoming project Indian 2, which will commence shooting from December 14”.
Kajal Aggarwal is playing the female lead in Bharateeyudu 2. Apart from Kamal Haasan, the film will feature another young actor in a pivotal role. He has to abandon his multi-lingual project, Sabash Naidu, a spin-off based on Dasavatharam’s character Balaram Naidu. He shelved the project mid-way due to the reasons unknown. However, he planned to complete the film later. But now it seems that he has to abandon it for his political career.
